Rachel and Luis's Multicultural Wedding at City Park's Pavilion of the Two Sisters

One of my favorite things to do is travel and experience the many different cultures across our globe. Being able to plan a wedding where I can help the couple incorporate elements from each of their cultural backgrounds can make me feel like I’ve traveled and learned a lot without ever leaving New Orleans. Rachel is Jewish and Luis was born in Mexico. We brought a little bit of Mexico into City Park with bright tropical flowers, papel picado flags, a mariachi band for cocktail hour, and of course a margarita bar. They honored Rachel’s Jewish traditions with a traditional Jewish ceremony under a chuppah with her family’s Tallit above them, and we worked the Hora in there as they danced the night away.
